Happy Birthday Princess Valerie!

I know I say this all the time but I can’t believe how fast time passes by. Today 3 years ago my little girl made me a mom. Being a mom was and still is one of greatest desires/joys of my heart. I would be lying if I said every minute has been blissful. But those trying times make the precious memories even sweeter, and I wouldn’t change one moment.

For Valerie’s birthday we had a “Princess” party last Saturday. It was so much fun to plan, decorate, and host, and the kids had a blast. Every little girl we invited came dressed like a princess. I lined both sides of our walk way with silver painted dowels and strung pink streamers from dowel to dowel. The front porch was lined in pink streamers and pink balloons, and we had our bubble maker on blowing bubbles as the girls came to the door. Once they got inside we had princess music playing and they got to choose a princess picture to color and a princess necklace, while we waited for everyone to arrive. Once everyone arrived we decorated princess crowns, played pin the crown on the princess, a princess scavenger hunt, and had a beauty salon were we painted our nails, got to put on glitter lip gloss, and perfume. It was lots of fun and Valerie is still talking about it!!!!

Easter

We have had a busy last few weeks. But here you go. I finally got the Easter pictures posted. We had a nice quiet Easter this year. Valerie had loads of fun finding her Easter basket Saturday morning. We had a picture of her with big wide eyes and a huge smile on her face, but sadly the picture got erased by someone in our family who shall remain nameless...cough, cough, Daddy. Henry also loved his Easter basket.

We had fun dying eggs between Conferences. Ok fine the truth is Valerie liked dying eggs but Mom and Dad took over after Valerie decided dying 2 eggs was enough fun.

Here is Valerie in her Easter dress I made for her. She loved it. As you can tell she thought she was a princess in it.

The last picture is a picture is Henry, Easter Sunday, doing his new favorite thing. . . playing with his tongue. He is only 4 months old and already a clown :)

Real Life Baby Doll (a.k.a Henry)

*Just in case you didn't notice, the hat Valerie put on Henry is a Disney Princess hat, makes it even funnier I think. Poor Boy!*

New Post and a New Look :o)

I know, I know, it has been a long time since I last posted. I have no excuses except I have been super busy and it is really hard to get anything done with a 4 month old who loves attention. In the past 2 months so much has happened.

To start off, the beginning of February Caleb flew out to NYC to visit his friends and watch the Super Bowl. He had a great time while he was there but had the hardest time getting home. His train ticket was canceled twice due to the snow that was falling in Washington DC at the time. He finally found a plane ticket to Myrtle Beach. So the kids and I drove the 2 hours to Myrtle Beach Airport to pick him up. While we were there we decided to go to the aquarium. The aquarium was so much fun. They have this amazing long tunnel that is all glass. It was really neat to see all the sea life especially the sharks swim above and next to you. Valerie’s favorite thing was saying “hi” to the diver in the tank. As for Henry his favorite thing was watching all the sting rays.

The following week is SNOWED! I know, snow in Charleston, yah right. But I promise you it did. It snowed about 6 inches. Valerie and Caleb loved every moment of it while it lasted.

As for the kids they are growing like weeds. Valerie has become such a big girl. Her favorite things to do is to dress up and use her imagination. I'm afraid I have influenced her a little to much. Anytime we go to the store she has to have a purse, jewelry, a list and coupons. LOL!

Henry on the other hand is getting big way to fast. He is almost 4 months old. I can't believe it. He is in my opinion Caleb's "mini me". Henry is a chunk. He is at least 16 pounds if not more. Henry's favorite things to do right now is to chew on his hands, standing in his johnny jump, using his voice to babble and laugh, garbing toys, trying to roll over and being so dang cute.

And for your enjoyment here is a cute collage of pictures I took of Valerie and Henry. These pictures show you Valerie's personality. A silly, silly, happy little girl.
