Blissful 4 Years

I can’t believe we have been married for 4 years! It feels like those 4 years have passed by in a blink of an eye, but yet it feels like I have always been with and known Caleb. I remember when I first got married thinking I could never love him more than I did at that point of time. I am here to tell you I was wrong. The best part about marriage I have found is it gets better with time and age. I love him more now and will love him even more as time goes on.

Hip Hip Hurray, A Baby Is On Its Way!

Baby 2 has finllay decided to come and make an appearance December 9th! Since I am considered higher risk due to my JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) and history of miscarriage we were able to get an early ultrasound. So yesterday we as a family were able to see the baby, hear and see the baby's heart beat on the ultrasound. Hurray!!! So far everything is going well except I constantly feel like I'm car sick, tired, have no energy and that smells are about 100x stronger then they should be. Other then that I feel great :) We as a family are doing well, loving life, and are very excited to welcome this new little one into our family this December!

March- A Busy But Fun Month

I really should be packing for our trip to Seattle tomorrow but decided to procrastinate a little bit longer and blog. The past few months have been a whorl wind. So much has happened and we have had so much fun. March and the first half of April have been lots of fun for us. Instead of writing a long boring blog I am going let the pictures help me tell ya’ll what we have been up to.

New Department

At the beginning of March Caleb got exciting new about what he gets to teach next at the Nuclear Power School. Caleb has been doing such an amazing job teaching enlisted physics. The class he teaches has one of the highest averages out of the physics department and out of the two tests the physics students have taken so far Caleb class has only had one student fail. On average each class has at least 3 failures each test. Because he has been doing such a great job one of the departments on the officer’s deck asked him to come and teach the officers as his next assigned department. Normally to get on the officers deck you have had to have taught the subject before on the enlisted side or have a graduate degree, which Caleb has done neither of those things. He will begin teaching on the officers deck in January. We are excited for him!

First Hair Cut

Valerie had her first hair cut this month. I finally broke down. I have been holding off for a long time. Her hair finally got to the point where it looked like a mullet and was hard to make it look nice/cute. She was so good when it was getting cut. All she did was look at herself in the mirror smile and make funny faces : )

New Car

We finally bought another car. I am no longer a captive in my own home!!! It is a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, and I love it.

Fun at the Aquarium

We had lots of fun at the Charleston Aquarium. Valerie loved seeing all the fish and other animals that they had on display. One of our favorite things was the touch pool. They had sting rays, horse shoe crabs, sea urchin, and star fish you could touch. Valerie’s favorite thing to touch was the sea urchin and watch the hermit crabs crawl around.

Easter
We had lots of fun this Easter. Saturday before Easter we had fun dying eggs and then watching Valerie find the eggs the Easter Bunny hid for her. I thought dying eggs would be a bigger mess then what it was. The only miss hap we had was Caleb was the one to spill the dye on the ground. Who would have thunk it was going to be Daddy that made them mess and not the almost 2 year old. HaHaHa. Easter Sunday was nice. Valerie got all dolled up in the dress Aunt Sarah made her, and if I can say so I think Val looks darn cute. That evening we had friends from Caleb’s work come over. I made Easter dinner and had fun talking, eating and watching the kids have fun.
Other Cute Valerie Moments

When I came back from getting the laundry this is how I found Valerie. She was playing with the Rubik cube saying out loud what the colors were. She is a nerd in training. Her dad will be proud.

Valerie was soaked from head to toes , but had lots of fun helping Daddy clean his car.

The "F" in February stands for FUN!

Whoo! What a whirlwind of a past few weeks, especially these past few days. Valerie has had the croup and there were a few scary moments. A few times Caleb and I thought we might have to take her to the ER because she was gasping for air and couldn’t get any. Other than that, the month of February was a lot of traveling and fun for our family. The first week in February Caleb went to New York, New York to visit his two best friends and watch the Super Bowl. I don’t think these boys have missed watching a Super Bowl together since they were in grade school (except when they were on their missions). A week after Caleb came home Valerie and I went to Rochester to visit my family for 10 days. It was cold but it was fun. Valerie especially had lots of fun playing with her uncle’s Phillip and David, and my cousin Jenna. Valerie fell in love with Jenna. The entire time we were there Valerie was Jenna’s little shadow doing everything, or trying to day everything Jenna was doing. It was so cute! We did lots of things. One day we went to a Mennonite store. I had lots of fun there and came home with tons of spices and other really cool/interesting thing for cheap. I even brought home 3 lbs of real maple syrup for Caleb. It only cost us $15. . . what a steal! Another day we went to the mall and rode the beautiful 2 story carousel and found tons of steals. One store was having a 75% off sale on their clothes. Needless to say I got lots of steals there for Valerie and I. We then went and spent a few day’s with my Auntie Marion and her family in Scranton , PA. Yes I said Scranton. If you are an “Office” fan this is the place it takes place in, even though none of the places you see in the show are from Scranton. While we were there I got to ride in my Auntie Marion’s Smart car. It was so cute and little, but very zippy at the same time. Once back in Rochester we went to a Children’s museum and a pet store that had tons of interesting and weird animals. We also went through a car wash. It was no big deal until we remembered it was Valerie's first time! Poor little girl. Needless to say she survived it and we had a blast visiting our family but were glad to get home to the nice warm weather.

Valerie and Jenna. Valerie is wearing a dress my mom and I found at the 75% sale and got it for a steal!

Me in the Smart Car. Isn't it cute?!

Phillip, Valerie, and David in the Dizzy Room. The room was put just at the right slant that when you walked through it it made you feel dizzy and that you were going to fall down. It was crazy!
