This is one of the things you always laugh at but never expect it to happen to you. Yesterday after church, we gave Valerie a baggie of crasins (dried cranberries) to eat on our way home. A few minutes later we hear in a whimpering, sad voice “Mommy, ouch in nose” she then proceeded to cry. Caleb and I both looked at each other in disbelief, thinking did she really just put one of those up her nose?! Caleb pulled over and looked up her nose and sure enough there was a crasin up her nose. Not in the nostril all the way up in the sinus. To get it that far up she must have been trying to get it out, poor thing. When we got home we tried to get it out but it just didn’t want to come out. So instead of doing more damage we called the on call pediatrician and got a referral to the local urgent care. Once we got into the doctor’s office we found out how much strength is in a 20 month child. It took 5 of us using all our strength to get the silly thing out of her nose. It took me holding her legs, Caleb holding her arms and torso, a male nurse holding her head, another nurse holding the light in one hand and Valerie in the other, and the doctor trying to get the silly crasin. On the way home we kept on telling her we don’t put things up our nose, and all day today she has been telling me “Not in nose, no no”. Hopefully she takes that to heart and we don’t have to go through this again :)

What a silly, beautiful girl!
Oh no! Glad she's okay. I once did that with a bean. Thankfully, I don't remember it much.
Oh no! When I was little I shoved a rubber band up my nose. Who knows what inspires kids to do stuff like that! Come to think of it, I don't know where that ever ended up! :)
Ohh what a funny little thing to do, i bet she won't be doing that again. Oh she is just getting so big and still SO cute! We miss you guys!
Add that one to your checklist of classic child mistakes :D Has she started swallowing coins yet?
